The house of Beat Poët emerged from the German label Punkt Linie Flche in early 2005. Starting with a humble accessories line, there was immediate demand for a full ready-to-wear collection following the launch in April of the same year.
In July 2005, the studio relocated to Melbourne and launched the Spring/Summer component of it's debut collection entitled Eighty Slaves. The following year the company migrated to Sydney to launch the Autumn/Winter component of the Eighty Slaves range.
The label is now permanently based in Sydney.
Plans are underway to incorporate several new lines under the Beat Poet Group including publishing, men's shoes, luggage, limited edition pieces and more...
SPRING / SUMMER 2010 - Zero Form
Expected delivery at For-Tomorrow starts from Mid-August 2009.
The Zero Form collection is a study of Reduction, proportion and the
relationship between the straight line and the curve in the context of the
modern wardrobe.
The evolution of menswear classics into new form that cross traditional
morning/evening dress codes informs the garments that makes up the
spring/summer instalment of the Zero Form wardrobe. Drawing from the
Suprematist Manifesto of the Russian painter Kazimir Malevieh (his zero form
being the black square), new systems of approaching the wardrobe are put
into practice through the
Reductionist Manifesto. The Reductionist zero form is the empty circle. The
pure hollow form that communicates more through what is absent than through
what is present.
